This maisonette apartment in the East Frisian town of Friedeburg is located around 30 minutes from the North Sea, but brings the sea right behind the historic brick walls. A nature retreat between forest, lake and coast.

The forester's lodge, built in 1872 and restored in 2020/21, houses five other apartments in addition to yours, which can be accessed via the same entrance. Behind your apartment door, you are immersed in a stylish maritime world. Light wood, the colors of the sea and its inhabitants in the form of decorative elements create a real coastal ambience.

In addition to the entrance area and the guest WC, the heart of the apartment, the open-plan living and dining area, is located on the first floor. Make yourself comfortable here by the open fire on the corner sofa with sleeping function or in the wing chair. On the adjoining terrace with lounge furniture, you can let your gaze wander into the greenery. The high-quality kitchen with beach house-style seating area is perfect for cooking and enjoying meals together.

The wooden staircase takes you to the top floor, where you will find a bathroom with rain shower, a separate toilet and the two bedrooms. The master bedroom with a view of the lake and forest has a box-spring double bed and another sofa bed. In the second bedroom you will find two single beds, one of which also has a pull-out function.

I am Yvonne and the hostess in our beautiful forester's lodge, which is owned by the von Wedel family. As a trained chef and business economist for the hotel and catering industry, our guests are particularly close to my heart. After working in many places at home and abroad for over ten years, I was drawn back home. I missed the North German mentality, the "Schnack", the food and the family. With the former forester's lodge and its six apartments, I have come very close to my dream of having my own small hotel, as I was involved in the development process and helped to build it. I particularly love the history that lives in the house, the forest and the lake on the doorstep and the serenity that this place exudes.
