On the Angeln peninsula, which lies close to the Flensburg Fjord, a seemingly untouched natural landscape with forests and gently rolling fields awaits you. A small stream flows alongside the property with the historic thatched-roof house in a secluded, peaceful location surrounded by nature. Many parts of the thatched-roof cottage (as the old thatched-roof houses in Schleswig Holstein are called), which was built around 1850, have been preserved: The old ceiling beams, the lattice and dormer windows, as well as the color scheme.
During the renovation, great importance was attached to remaining true to the style of the house and not overloading the interior. The mixture of high-quality, custom-made wooden furniture and antique furnishings paired with the wooden floors creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.
The heart of the house is the large living and dining area with open kitchen on the first floor. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a high-quality cooking experience. Here, many mullioned windows open up a wide view of the lovingly landscaped cottage garden.
On the upper floor, you can sleep comfortably directly under the pointed roof, where there is a bedroom with a large double bed and a room with two single beds. The stylish bathroom with underfloor heating and large walk-in shower provides a wellness feeling on vacation in the countryside.
The large garden offers plenty of places to relax, sunbathe and read. In summer, you can pick pears, apples and plums in the orchard and catch the first rays of sunshine on the terrace. There is also a fireplace in the garden, which is ideal for long evenings around the campfire.
This vacation paradise is perfect for nature and beach lovers who are looking for the tranquillity of nature and want to spend a vacation away from the crowds but still close to picturesque places. Here you can find time for yourself, either as a couple, as a group of friends or even as a family.

The adjacent mill stream, which flows right outside the front door. The sound of the stream can be heard from the house
The beautifully curated furniture, some of which was specially made for the house by the local carpenter
The extensive grounds and the orchard, where you can pick berries, apples, pears and plums in summer
My name is Ramona and I look after several vacation homes in rural locations in north-eastern Schleswig-Holstein between the fjord, Flensburg and the Schlei. As an agent, the vacation homes I look after are a matter close to my heart, just like their owners. So I also have the good fortune to manage this beautiful thatched-roof house for Fabian and Martin.
Fabian spent many of his vacations as a child in the historic house from the 1850s, as it belonged to friends of his family. in 2020, he then decided to take over the thatched house and property with his buddy Martin. Since then, the pair have extensively renovated the house, paying particular attention to the preservation and careful restoration of the period features, which are up to 170 years old. The smaller part of the house, the former stable, has been lovingly and painstakingly converted into a bright, very comfortable vacation home. The surrounding landscape of the Angeln peninsula and the natural grounds on which the house is located are particularly beautiful. The Mühlenbach stream borders the property and the garden with its large orchard of apple and pear trees is a wonderful place to relax in the gently rolling countryside along the Baltic coast. At the start of 2025, a barrel sauna with a large panoramic window awaits guests seeking relaxation in the adjoining wooded area!

A beautifully designed house with a huge garden in an (almost) secluded location. The facilities leave nothing to be desired, for children there is a small trampoline, toys, a swing in the huge oak tree next to the house and plenty of space to play and explore. For the adults, there are various places to sit, a well-equipped kitchen and a wonderful garden. Many beaches and the small villages nearby are easily accessible by bike.
