Deep forests, natural beaches and the wild cliffs of the Baltic Sea: the dreamy landscape of the Angeln peninsula is ideal for a break for two or alone. The thatched-roof cottage from 1855 is surrounded by old trees in a picturesque, secluded location.
The 85 m² cottage offers a uniquely nostalgic living experience. Lovingly selected details and a mix of high-quality and antique furnishings give the house an enchanting charm.
The light-flooded open-plan kitchen-living room on the first floor invites you to arrive and feel at home. The light colors envelop you in peace and warmth; whether you are cooking, talking or letting your thoughts wander, this is the perfect place for relaxing hours. There is deliberately no TV here: instead, you can watch the fire flickering in the fireplace or gaze out through the patio door into the greenery from the comfortable sofa.
An old wooden staircase takes you to the cozy upper floor. Sleep and dream under the sloping roof in a comfortable double bed with a view of the high gable end.
The house's garden flows seamlessly into the surrounding fields and meadows. Enjoy the last rays of sunshine of the day on the terrace, accompanied by birdsong and a breathtaking view of the greenery as far as the eye can see.
Almost endless cycle paths lead right past the house, allowing you to explore the idyllic surroundings. You can reach Flensburg with its charming old town in less than half an hour by car and a day trip to Denmark is also possible here.
Important note: We love thatched-roof vacation homes - when dealing with fire and electricity, we ask guests to ensure that the thatched roof is not exposed to any fire risk. You will receive more detailed instructions from your host.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

The quiet, secluded location of the house between endless meadows and fields lets you breathe deeply
Enjoy the sunset among the lavender and roses in the beautifully manicured garden
The light-flooded, white eat-in kitchen with fireplace exudes a welcoming atmosphere
I'm Gabriele and my home in Schleswig-Holstein is my absolute favorite place. When I'm not in the quaint, thatched cottage myself, I'm only too happy to welcome guests here. As I travel a lot for work, Julia often looks after the house and the guests. She is your personal contact and good soul. My husband and I lovingly renovated the cottage a few years ago and created a place to relax and take a deep breath. We particularly enjoy the great secluded location of the house: we love listening to the birdsong in the garden among the lavender, roses and herbs or spending time on the wonderful Baltic Sea coast.
