The wooden house dates from 1939, but has been completely restored with respect for the original style. There's room for six people, with a cozy and pragmatic interior and a focus on community. The light is fantastic thanks to the cozy conservatory where you can sit most of the year. Inside you'll find small stones and shells collected by the family on the beach, books for all tastes and games to play with the whole family. There are two terraces around the house, both south and west-facing, with garden furniture and sun loungers to lounge on all day long. You can also look forward to a soak in the cottage's hot tub, which invites you to wellness and relaxation. The cottage is located on a large grassy natural plot where you can play ball and other outdoor games.
At the end of the cul-de-sac you'll find the water, just 200 meters from the cottage. Here you can slip into flip-flops, soak up the sun in the sand or take a dip in the water on paddleboards. The town of Øster Hurup is not far from the house, where you can get an ice cream from Denmark's best Waffle House. You can also head down to the harbor, have a beer or have lunch at one of the great restaurants. We are a family of six and we bought the cottage with the intention of creating a space where we can enjoy unplugging together or separately. When we turn down the road where our cottage is located, the first thing we see is the water. Then we slow down and it's time to enjoy each other's company. It's nice to escape to Øster Hurup, which is a lovely town with a bit of everything - not least beautiful nature. We love going for walks on the hiking trails, going down to the water or the harbor to look at boats, sunbathing on the terrace or sitting in front of the stove with a good book.

The cottage was nothing short of perfect - the epitome of what we consider a "real" cottage. The title describes it really well, because here your time is focused on presence and coziness. There were plenty of board games available, the stove could be lit and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need.
My personal favorite was the corner sofa, also pictured, where you can sit and enjoy a good book while looking out over the beautiful grounds. Of course, the fact that there was frost and snow outside made the experience even more idyllic.
