Unique, rustic cosiness in an authentic Norwegian log cabin

An atmospheric experience awaits you in the Norwegian log cabin on Helgenæs. The wild natural plot and the warm wooden walls of the house will create a cozy setting for your holiday. In the living room, you can gather on the large corner sofa. If you come in winter, you can sit close under the blankets as the wind whips around the house and the snow settles on the window frames. The kids can sit on the bench at the dining table and paint while you cook in the kitchen and chat through the small window into the living room. When it's time for the little ones to go to bed, tuck them into the bunk beds in one of the rooms at the other end of the house, so they won't be disturbed while you continue the conversation in the living room over a glass of rosé.

From the kitchen, you can walk straight out onto the covered terrace. It's always sheltered, so it's a great place to curl up with a book on the comfy cushions. Even in winter, you can sit here for a while wearing mittens, hats and jackets and just let the cold air fill your lungs while the snow brings the silence. In the summer, you can sit at the table on the grass under the parasol and have a barbecue, or gather around the fire at night and tell scary stories. You can also explore the wild nature plot and collect exciting insects with the kids.

There are plenty of opportunities for great nature experiences in the area, as Mols Bjerge National Park is just around the corner. For example, you can take a day trip to Kalø Castle Ruin and look out over the bay. You can also cycle around Helgenæs and pass the small farms or fields with horses and cows. If you take the car, you can drive to beautiful Ebeltoft, where you can visit the art and culture house in the old Malt Factory. Not far from Ebeltoft you'll also find Ree Park Safari with adventures for the whole family. Here the kids can play in the playground next to the lion cage, or you can get up close to the playful monkeys.
