The original log cabin from 1970 exudes tranquility, while the modern extension from 2020 combines the mountain feel with underfloor heating and good insulation. Earth tones and natural fabrics create a sense of calm throughout the cabin.

The log cabin is the heart of the cabin – completely quiet and healthy. The other rooms continue the mountain adventure with earth tones and natural materials. The modern extension from 2020 has 25 centimeters of insulation in the walls and heating cables in the floors, bathroom, and hallway. Everything has been carefully thought out to provide you with comfort after long trips in the mountains.

The cabin is sheltered from the wind in a peaceful area north of the lively center of Sjusjøen. The location at 915 meters provides a fantastic starting point for mountain experiences, while still being accessible by car. The cabin roads around are perfect for short trips or stroller walks, while the store is conveniently close by.

You can take completely new routes every day: short trips up Storåsen, Sjusjøfjellet or Lunkefjellet, and long trips to Pellestova, Hornsjø and Nevelfjell. In winter, fantastic cross-country trails run over Nøkkelåsen down to the Birkebeiner trail. In summer, the mountains await with cycling and paddling in gentle, easy areas.
