My name is Mette and I am the owner of the cozy holiday home on Helgenæs. In 2022, an annex was added to make more space for overnight guests. When my family and I are in the cottage, we love the peace and quiet, the sound of birdsong and, not least, the time together. We often enjoy bonfires and barbecues on the terrace, where we have a great view of Samsø.
The beach is only a short walk from here, and you can get there via cozy cottage roads and a shortcut over a cliff with beautiful wildflowers. If you want to go on a longer hike, there are plenty of options, both at Sletterhage Lighthouse, which is the starting point for a number of incredibly beautiful, historic hiking routes - and at Mols Bjerge, which is a 10-minute drive away. In Kongsgårde you'll find the local grocery store with good, fresh produce. Fish is available at the fishmonger on Dragsmuren, where the queue can be long, so arrive in good time.
