The house was designed by Søren Sarup, and we built part of it ourselves. What we didn't do, the local carpentry company Anders Andersen did. As such, we have had our hands on, assessed and cared for every corner of the house.
The house is sheltered behind vegetation. As such, there is a nice climate on the property even in relatively high wind speeds. It is L-shaped and inspired by the traditional West Jutland longhouses. The combination of the house and the vegetation creates a courtyard without any overlooking.
What appears to be one building is three units under one roof: the main house with a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub, and a wing with two additional bedrooms and a bathroom. At the south end of this wing are outdoor showers and a sauna with a large panoramic window.
The rooms have large glass windows facing the green courtyard. We have thus endeavoured to make the transition between outdoor and indoor spaces as smooth as possible.
The end wall of the room is glazed from floor to ceiling. Two large glass windows in the north-facing roof of the house, one in the living room and one in the bathroom above the bathtub, provide a lovely soft light and a sense of the sky both night and day. The colours of the furniture are also coordinated to match the dominant shades outdoors.

Our names are Anders and Rasmus. We both live with our families in Klitmøller. The house is our gift to you and the one or ones you have with you. It gives you the best possible setting for a wonderful experience close to some of Denmark's most unique nature.
We both surf, so we have a fondness for the over 30 registered surf spots that make the West Coast of Thy a centre for surfing in Northern Europe.
But that's far from the only thing worth visiting in our area. For the most part, it's nature that sets the scene and gives you an experience that's honest, simple, magnificent and cosy all at once.
In addition to deserted beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see on both sides of Klitmøller, we have a number of marked hiking, cycling and MTB routes in the Thy National Park close to the house. 500 m west of the house is the roaring Vesterhavet, 3 km east of the house is Vandet lake with calm and shallow bathing water for children and grandchildren. North of the town is Hanstholm Game Reserve, which is Denmark's largest continuous protected area. Here you can see, among other things, krond deer and cranes.
