Description

The classic black-painted cottage from 1975 is the gathering place for the family. It is the framework for shared experiences, for relaxation and here is everything a holiday home trip should be able to accommodate. In the lovely kitchen-dining room, there is room for calm to take place in front of the wood-burning stove, and at the good dining table, the family's game evenings can unfold. This is also where the good dinners can be eaten, and even if you are inside, nature comes in all the way through the large windows facing the garden. Here you will not find a television, but in return the turntable, board games and lightning fast fiber networks can provide the entertainment. It is also decorated and renovated with respect and love for the soul of the house. The cottage can accommodate a family of 5 people, which can spread out over the few but good square meters. All the house's bedrooms have good beds, nice duvets and decorated with bright colors. The annex of the house is decorated with a lovely feeling of beach house, and here you can open the doors and enjoy the garden directly from the bed. The garden has lots of lovely cozy nooks, where you can always find shelter, sun and shade. The garden is not large, but you can go daily on new discoveries about the water holes between the trees along the paths. Here is a rich wildlife and the tranquility of the forest comes all the way up on the terrace. Here you can sit out in the late night hours sheltered under the canopy, grill on the gas grill and warm up under the patio heater. If you are more into open fire, then find in the fireplace well placed in shelter, and here there are both pots, pans and grill grate for what you could now imagine. Under the large oak tree stands the beautiful wilderness bath with star gazing on the clear, dark evenings. Here you will find almost no light pollution - and the garden is located undisturbed by the neighbors, so privacy is complete.

Rikke & Morten

We are Rikke and Morten, and we have four grown children together. On a daily basis, Rikke works as a youth counselor and family therapist in Skanderborg, and I am a firefighter at Thule Air Base in North Greenland. Our cottage purchase was our first common base, this was where our children were introduced to each other. We both throw our love on the same things: an old piece of timber with a special patina, a nice remnant of paint, a piece of furniture, a possible building renovation. Having an old cottage together means for us plenty of opportunities to live out creative ideas. This is where we get the opportunity to mess with building ideas, plants, creative expressions and decor. Soul, moods and the expression of a space mean a lot to both of us, and therefore we strive in every respect that a space, a corner, inside as well as outside should be nice to be in. The immediate area offers plenty of opportunities. We love to go on a trip to Lovns peninsula or to watch the sunset from the beach by the fjord. There are really good opportunities for fantastic hiking and biking in the beautiful old plantations. Fishing in the local put and take, SUP and kayaking in the fjord. If the delicious hunger shows up outside the land register, we like to eat a pancake or an ice cream from Vebbestrup at Pakhuset by the marina. It is also always a pleasure to play golf in Hvalpsund Golf Club or to eat a wonderful summer lunch at Næsbydale Badehotel, or the Glenholm winery. At the ferry berth, we often frequent Det Lille Røgeri, which has sales from shops, take-away and café. Local stalls in the town, offering fresh greens, eggs, firewood, flowers and flea markets. Hvalpsund is not far from the islands Mors, Livø, and Fur.
