We live in Ålesund and bought this country house on Tjønnøya in 2021. Since the place became ours, we have spent a lot of time here, and feel good in the cozy and homely environment inside, and especially appreciate the fresh sea air and the view. The jetty is located right outside the boathouse door, so the proximity to the sea can really be both experienced and enjoyed. We have refurbished both the outside and the inside, and this really is our dream place.
When we are here, we always go for a walk on Honningsøya, which has a fantastic view of the ocean and Hestskjæret lighthouse. This, and the many other trips, are just as good in both stormy and fine weather, so here it's just a matter of choosing. There are also great swimming opportunities directly below the cabin. We buy groceries at the convenience store a stone's throw away, and if we feel like experiencing city life, Kristiansund is only 35 minutes away.
