Our names are Sara and Nikolai and we live in an apartment in Christianshavn. As we both live and work in the city, we take every opportunity to escape to our lovely little summer oasis. When we come up here, we immediately feel the calm and our shoulders slump. For us, our time at Hindbærhytten is the epitome of slow living, where we go offline and completely disconnect from everyday life.
We enjoy reading a book in front of the wood-burning stove, taking walks by the beach or simply enjoying the view of the tree canopy from our terrace. We also love to go on walks to the nearby Kårup Forest or shop locally at the fish truck downtown and at Lammefjorden's Pantry.
When we're up here, we take a daily walk down to the most amazing (and kid-friendly) beach, which is just a few hundred meters from the house. We often enjoy a little pit stop on the ultimate bench, surrounded by trees and overlooking the water and beach. Here, time stands still.
