There's a brand new and functional kitchen with a cozy dining area with a nice Swedish bench. Here you can relax and look out at the sky or keep an eye out for the deer that may visit the garden - especially in the morning hours you may be lucky enough to see them wandering around. From the kitchen there's also an exit to the terrace, so you can easily set the table for summer dinners here.
The living room is furnished with a sofa bed, chaise longue and a comfortable armchair where you can gaze out at the sky or warm yourself by the wood-burning stove. The living room invites you to spend time together and the double doors can be opened to bring the garden all the way inside. The cottage's bedrooms are small but cozy, and there's enough space for the family to get a good night's sleep without disturbing noises or annoying traffic noise. There's also a cot and highchair available, so there's no need to pack extra for the little ones in the family. The cottage is stocked with plenty of art supplies, games and books, and indoor activities are guaranteed when the weather is less than mild.
The outdoor areas of the cottage are beautiful, with a lovely wooden terrace, annex and greenery. So when the weather is nice again, the garden will be nothing short of amazing for the kids to play in while the adults enjoy cold drinks on the terrace.

We are a family of six with children Oskar (2014), Ludvig (2016), Silje (2020) and Hugo (2023). We love spending time in the cottage because it's peaceful and quiet. Time to just be. Although we've spent a lot of time renovating, the kids have also been part of the process. So we've taken a trip to the beach 75 meters away when the time has allowed, and we've also had friends and family visit, played at the playground 500 meters away and otherwise just enjoyed the process.
We enjoy the fact that it's all relatively simple. There's less noise in a number of ways: it's pitch black at night when it's time to sleep and there are no disturbing noises; there are minimal toys so the kids' imaginations can run wild; no dishwasher so we can spend time together doing the dishes. The house is also relatively small, and we get to know each other more when we're here. It's nice that it's different here than at home. When you adapt, it's really good for the soul and mind. Both for the children and for us adults.
The beach is definitely our favorite place. Take a walk on the dike. Walk on the pebble beach or go 200 meters further along the dike and play on the sandy beach and then take a dip in the water in the summer. We also love going to the grocery store where you can find delicious delicacies, local food and specialty drinks. It's also great to buy an ice cream and spend time at the harbor looking at boats or playing on the grass area.
