Historic summer house with outdoor swimmingpool and spa

Blåvand, Denmark

Highlights and descriptions have been auto-translated from Danish

Highlights from Rikke Hjorth Møller

  1. Outdoor swimming pool and spa to enjoy in undisturbed and private surroundings
  2. Close to child-friendly Hvidbjerg Beach for those long summer bathing days
  3. A beautiful historic house renovated with love

The fine historic cottage is located at the end of a blind road on the outskirts of Blåvand. It has its own small private forest and a wonderful wildlife with hares, squirrels and deer that regularly visit. When you step inside, you feel the special idyll of another decade, and the warm decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The white painted ceilings and wooden beams create bright spaces and the large open country kitchen invites you to socialise over cooking. From the kitchen there is an open connection to the living room with dining table, where you can also light up the wood stove on cold evenings. The cottage has four bedrooms with two double beds and two wide single beds, making a total of 6 sleeping accommodations, and all rooms are decorated with inspiration from the seaside hotel aesthetic with blue details. Overall, there is a lovely mix of new and old, creating a real cottage atmosphere. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the uninterrupted terrace, and on hot summer days you can take a dip in the lovely outdoor swimming pool or spa. It is possible to bring your dog, which can also run free in the private forest or garden. The cottage has all the facilities for the family looking for an idyllic cottage holiday where the water-loving children can let off steam.

Rikke Hjorth Møller

Host since December 2021

My name is Rikke and my husband and two girls live in Esbjerg with our dog, and we got our lovely summer house at Blåvand in 2018. It is originally a year-round house from 1883, which was first renovated in the 1980s. On the outside, the beautiful historic look is preserved and we had a new thatched roof when we took over the house in 2018. Inside we have renovated ourselves and added a lovely unspoilt terrace in the garden. Good excursions on foot are Blåvand town, which is only about 3 km away. Through a beautiful protected dune area you can walk to Tirpitz museum, where you can learn a lot about the history of the west coast. The child-friendly beach, Hvidbjerg Strand is for the West Sea relatively quiet and child-friendly, so here we are happy to swim in summer. You can follow the house on Instagram: mollershus
