Are you a big family or a group of good friends who need a break from everyday life? Then this bright, spacious, newly built cottage 800 metres from a lovely beach is the place for you. It can accommodate up to twelve people, and with its light, Nordic-style décor and surrounding heather landscape, it has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere - the perfect setting for togetherness and enjoying each other's company.
The heart of the house is the large room with kitchen, dining room and living room in one, and here you will find everything you need for a wonderful stay. On either side of the lovely open space are two sections of bedrooms and bathroom - three of the bedrooms are 'master bedrooms' with double beds, while the other three rooms have beds that can be moved together or apart as you need them. For the very young, you'll find two weekend beds and two high chairs in the wardrobes in the rooms, and a changing table in one of the bathrooms. So this is the place for you if you want to enjoy a break from everyday life with the kids and family without having to worry about those things.
From the large, bright, modern bathroom, a patio door opens onto the outdoors and the large terrace with both a sauna built into the terrace and a wilderness bath where you can enjoy the warm water while gazing at the starry sky. The wilderness bath gets hot in 2-4 hours, and it's nice and easy to hop in the shower inside before a trip to the lovely wilderness bath or sauna.
On one terrace you can enjoy the morning sun and listen to the sea breeze in the cosy lounge furniture, and on the other terrace you have the sun from midday until sunset. Here you will find a barbecue, an outdoor shower and, during the summer, tables and chairs where you can enjoy dining in the sunshine. In the garden you will find a large buried trampoline with safety net and a football pitch with two goals. There is also a large play tower and two swings for the children to let off steam, and behind the house there is also a lot of shrubbery ideal for den building. If you fancy a bonfire, there's a fire pit with seating for you all, and you can borrow bread sticks and popcorn from the house.
Take a short walk down to the white sand of the beach - just 800 metres from the cottage is one of Denmark's most child-friendly beaches with a lovely bathing bridge, and if you want to take a trip into town it's a short walk of 1 kilometre from the house. If you want to get out into the open, the Kløverstierne are about 1300 metres from the house. There is also plenty of beautiful nature in the Vildmosen which is a short distance from Øster Hurup.

My name is Lise, and together with my family I live in Støvring. The house you are visiting here was designed by us, and during 2020 we built it ourselves together with our four beautiful children - right from the groundbreaking.
In 2021 it was finally finished, and we now have a huge smile on our faces about our fantastic summer house. We built the house because we wanted to have a nice place to create good memories and traditions with our children, but also to be able to share it with other families and friends who want a break from everyday life.
Now we are ready to welcome a lot of lovely guests who want to have cosiness, closeness and lots of time together - there is plenty of opportunity for that here.
The summer house sometimes welcomes the guest of honour Molly, a goat from the farm opposite. Molly sometimes looks into the garden and walks around quietly having a good time - before we built on the plot there were horses here that she used to look in on, and we think she is an old lady who sometimes forgets that we now live here instead of the horses. She walks freely, loves to be petted and fed and is quite harmless - so if you see a goat in the garden, don't be alarmed.
The area offers great places to eat and shop. We love to do our shopping at Havnens fisk or the lovely farm shop Øster Hurup Grønt, where you can buy fresh vegetables, eggs, berries and flowers. Everything is home grown on the farm and 100% organically grown. When we go out to eat, we love to go to Cafe Moulés, a cozy and atmospheric cafe right in the middle of town with delicious homemade pastries, side dishes and really delicious ingredients. If you like local produce and sea views, Restaurant Vildmose is definitely worth a visit too. When you're craving an ice cream in the summer heat, we - and especially our kids - love to swing by Vaffelhuset Øster Hurup, which makes homemade Italian ice cream in homemade ice cream cones with a ton of flavors.
