Pack the whole family in the car and head for 'Skovtoften', which is surrounded by Asserbo's forest. Here, at the end of a quiet, blind cul-de-sac, the cottage with its clean architectural lines and wild natural grounds awaits - ready to provide the setting for wonderful cottage memories. The architect's touch is not denied in the cottage's bright, simple colours and large rooms with high ceilings. All around you will find fine details such as the covered veranda, the front room with fireplace insert and the skylight windows that provide a fantastic light. There's plenty of space to spread out in the cottage's three good-sized bedrooms - two with double beds and one with a single bed - when you're not all gathered in the open-plan kitchen-living room. There's a fireplace insert, a loft and large windows and doors that offer the finest views of the forest and the green nature reserve. Curl up on the sofa as the rain drums against the skylights and the fire crackles in the fireplace, or open the large patio doors and invite nature inside. Outside, embrace the garden's rhododendrons, birch and pine trees on the north and west-facing terraces or enjoy the forest's clear starry skies around the fire pit. Just a five-minute walk away along small paths is Købmandsgården, where you can stock up for dinner, or head for Tisvilde Hegn and the beach just 10 minutes away. Easily charge your electric car in the house's charging station when you return home.

'Skovtoften' is a family-owned cottage. We are a big family with lots of children and grandchildren, so we love to come up to the house and relax from a stressful everyday life in Copenhagen - together in the beautiful nature and garden that surrounds the house. We use the area a lot, stopping by visitor farms, going on second-hand hunts in the many thrift shops and taking long walks in the woods. Most of all, we love the forest at Asserbo and the beautiful nature that surrounds us. We like to take long walks by the beach, collecting pebbles and shells, and we also like to stop by the local fishing trolley, which stops by the grocer's on Saturdays and is full of fresh fish and homemade delicacies for lunch.
