The fine yellow cottage is wrapped in the characteristic dune landscape, and only 50-100 meters to the beach. From the house it is walking distance to Gammel Skagen's popular places like Hyttefadet, Solnedgangspladsen and Dit Smørrebrød. When you enter the cottage, you come directly into the living room, where there is a view of the beautiful dune landscape. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet or a good book on the small sofa by the open fireplace. There is seating for as many as 10 people at the dining table, and the kitchen is an extension of the room, so you can have fellowship over cooking. However, the house is best suited for eight guests, but if you were to bring a few children in addition, it's fine too. On the first floor, there is another living room with a large corner sofa and armchair where you can really lounge. For the sake of the sofa and interior, food is not allowed on the first floor, but snacks are of course welcome. At one end there is a bedroom with a French balcony, and at the other end there is another bedroom with a door to a small balcony. Unfortunately, the balcony cannot be used at the moment as it is being renovated. There are two bathrooms in the cottage, so there is room for several people to get ready at the same time. Outside there are several terraces, two of which have direct access from the living room. On one side of the house, everyone can sit together over breakfast. In the evening, you can use the one facing the dunes to enjoy the evening sun. You can switch around the terraces depending on where the wind is coming from and how warm it is. It is important to know that you are not allowed to use an open fire outside, as the house is so close to the dune landscape, i.e. you cannot barbecue traditionally. However, there is a small electric barbecue available for free use. Small dogs are welcome in the house, and you are very welcome to write and ask about the house if there are any questions.
Meet your host

My family and I have had the house in Gl. Skagen since 1996. And in 2021, my sister and I have taken over from our mother. There is direct access to the beach - you just have to cross the dune. We've been coming to Skagen since we were kids just like our kids are also close to the cottage and the place, which is our second home. The weather is always unique, whether it's stormy, the sun is beating down or it's the autumn glow, it's a unique experience and beautiful to be here. The scenery is unique and we get withdrawals when we have not been there for a long time. If you want to enjoy nature, Råbjerg Mile is a wonderful experience - both during the day and especially beautiful at sunset. In addition, Grenen is unique regardless of the weather - especially when it is windy, it is fascinating to see the waves crashing against each other. The Eagle Sanctuary and Skagen Museum are annual haunts, and a favourite with children when they were young was the Bear Museum. We can definitely recommend a visit to the fishmongers in Skagen too.
