We've had a cottage for 16 years, and in that time cottage life has become a nest filled with love and space for family time. Our children have grown up here and we have had many wonderful times. For us, it's almost a sacred place - not in the sense that you can't touch things, but rather because it brings so much joy when we're there. When we bought the first cottage we were in our mid-20s and didn't have much money. We struggled to find something that felt right for us, and where it could be both a retreat from the city and also be something special. We fell in love with our first house on Orø when we finally found it. It was something of a cigar box at the time, but we've renovated and put many hours into the decor. We bought everything in the house with love. Today we have both a lovely house on Orø and a lovely house in Dronningmølle.
