Summer houses both kids and grownups will love
Highlights and descriptions have been auto-translated from Danish
Surrounded by large, tall trees, the cottage is located on an enclosed plot with plenty of space. The old trees, the vegetation and the design of the garden provide lovely spots with both shelter and sun. There is a wealth of birdlife and a calm that permeates the whole family. The summer house accommodates the large family with two bedrooms on the first floor, two built-in alcoves for children on the landing and also a spacious annex with both bedroom, bathroom and sauna. However, if you have the smallest members of your party with you, be aware of the stairs, which are challenging and steep for the little ones. The kitchen-living room is a cosy place to be - there's room for the whole family, whether you're cooking, playing board games or relaxing on the sofa with a book and a lit wood-burning stove. The kitchen has everything you need to gather the family around the dining table for a good dinner. The sofa area leads out onto the covered terrace, which also has a dining area and barbecue for those cosy summer barbecues. On the large natural plot, children and childlike souls can let loose with ball games or hide-and-seek, and if that's not quite enough, there's free play on the campsite's playground next to the cottage. You can also rent canoes or use the laundry facilities.

Host since September 2021
When we bought the house in 2021, it was pretty neglected, so we've done a lot to it since then. Today we live in Aarhus - my husband, I and our five children. Our adult children love to borrow the house and take a break from everyday life. We all love nature, and we bought the house partly because one of our sons lives in the area and uses the surfing environment in Klitmøller a lot. We love hiking and fishing and do it a lot. The fishing opportunities are endless. The area the cottage is in can be really rugged, raw and wild - and that's one of the coolest things about the North Sea. Both myself and my husband have grown up in families with holiday homes, and we have the experience that you almost can't live without one. For us, it's part of being able to unplug and live the simple and cosy cottage life. We use the National Park a lot, and we especially think that Restaurant Agger Darling, which is just 300-400 meters from the house, is worth a visit, and not least, the new gourmet Restaurant Tri which is down by the sea gets great reviews. In general, you are just close to the fjord, the canal and the lakes, so the area's nature is all-encompassing.
