In the most beautiful open space, there is room for the whole family. It's open to the ceiling and whether you're sitting on the sofa or cooking in the kitchen, the atmosphere is great. The décor is functional, but there is no compromise on cosiness. The large, lovely sofa is positioned to look out over the garden, and when the weather is right, you can open it all the way up so the indoor and outdoor spaces flow together. In the colder months of the year, you can see the Tegner Museum through the trees and enjoy the lovely view while the fire crackles in the wood stove. There is plenty of good sleeping space in the cottage, bunk beds for the youngest members of the family and a loft. The annex stands sweet and original still with its raw and dark profile boards. The annex is close to the house, and with a short walk past the pergola and across the terrace, you're back inside the main house. There is also a fantastic utility room where you can store your gear, your wellies, and this is also where you will find the extra fridge and freezer space for summer ice cream and good, juicy wines. These can be enjoyed with good friends on the incredibly nice and large terrace. The area is absolutely stunning, and sits right next to the protected area called Ruslands Bakker. The beautiful fields belonging to Thorshøjgaard can be seen from the terrace, and in the morning the cows of the fields visit the cottage. Hop on your bike and ride down through the area and visit Denmark's best beach, Dronningmølle Strand.

In our lovely family summer house, we work hard to make things run smoothly. It's where we relax, tear down and build up. We've spent an incredible amount of time creating just the right environment for our family. It's been so important that it's a place for all of us - a place where we can gather and be, enjoy each other's company and spend time together. We love being at the cottage - both because it's beautiful, but also because there are so many great places to explore. The area is full of activities for young and old and everyone in between. We like to go to the Rudolf Tegner Museum. Here we have a cup of coffee and an ice cream at Traktørstedet Sørens Café. One of the reasons we love Dronningmølle is that it is also so close to Hornbæk and Gilleleje. Dronningmølle town itself has also grown lately, and here you can now find Spanish delicacies with tapas, good Italian pizza, a delicious cafe and flea market. The Dream House and the Dream Café offer the most beautiful baskets, furniture and gadgets. If you fancy a good old fashioned bodega, you can always settle down at Papas Bodega and chat to the many locals.
