We love spending our weekends in our little cottage. Kasper designed and built the house himself, so it feels very personal to us. As we live in a house with a lot of maintenance, this cottage is a sanctuary where there should not be too much to maintain. We have therefore chosen to leave the original reeds around the house and instead raise the house one meter above the reeds, so there is still a clear view of the sea. The house isn't big, but it has everything we need to relax and enjoy each other's company.
We're a family of four ourselves, and we get into gear as soon as we pull into the driveway.
We love going for long walks and swimming in the sea - both winter and summer. The cottage is in the second row overlooking the sea, which we enjoy both winter and summer. The beach is accessed from one of the public paths that we often use.
When we're not in or around the cottage, we take trips to visit other local beaches, markets or nearby towns.
Gudmindrup Strand in the summer is also recommended, as the sand is fine and seaweed-free.
Walking in Klint is also a great excursion. And if we need a bit of 'city life', we head to Nykøbing Sjælland or Rørvig. A ferry trip to Hundested is also recommended.
