Summer houses both kids and grownups will love
Uniquely located in an old fishing village just outside Lofoten, you will find Villa Borgvåg - a charming cabin with roots far back in history and with plenty of space to invite several generations or a whole group of friends on a cabin trip. Here you can relax in unique surroundings right on the waterfront, where the views of the open sea and mountains are almost overwhelmingly beautiful.
Villa Borgvåg has been carefully renovated with respect for the cabin's history and original details. A lot of time and thought has been put into the interior design, where beautiful second-hand finds and color-painted floors and walls give the cabin soul and character. Curl up in the armchair or one of the sofas while the evening's chef conjures up your family's favorites. As the day draws to a close, you can draw lots to see who gets to sleep in which of the seven good bedrooms on the first and second floors.
From the cabin, you can walk directly out onto the terrace, which is also a stunning viewing platform over the sea with unobstructed views of the midnight sun in summer and the Northern Lights in winter. Warm up around the fire pit and be captivated by the sight of the sea and the beautiful nature of Lofoten. The surroundings offer many exciting activities all year round, with hiking, skiing and fishing just some of them. Explore both the nature and history of this beautiful place and enjoy the beautiful, untouched nature.
Ski in/ski out: Cross-country ski trails right outside the cabin.
Ski resorts nearby: 12 min to Borgtun Lysløype and 40 min to Lofoten Snowboard and Alpine Center.

On a beautiful Easter Sunday in 2021, we finally found our dream paradise in the heart of Lofoten. The place is called Villa Borgvåg and is located in Borgvåg on the outskirts of Vestvågøy with the sea and the most amazing nature as the nearest neighbor. Borgvåg is a former fishing village and the house used to belong to the former landowner. It is a magnificent property filled with culture and memories of old times. The main house with its 7 bedrooms and 14 beds is often filled with family and friends. The house has been gently renewed with a color palette inspired by nature, and each room with its own special touch and character has been given new life. The house has been decorated with furniture and antiques collected from all over Norway and from previous travels around the world.
A magnificent old rustic long table (seating 10 people) was brought from Lindesnes, in the southernmost part of Norway, now adorns the new kitchen. In the dining room there is also an old and antique long table with seating for 10 people. The house has a cozy and very warm atmosphere, where everyone can enjoy the tranquility, experience the view that changes character depending on the weather and wind and not least enjoy the most beautiful midnight sun in the summer or spectacular sunsets the rest of the year.
The fall and winter months offer fantastic northern lights that can be experienced right outside the house. Nature can be enjoyed from the doorstep and offers a wealth of wildlife. Grouse roam the grounds and a pair of white-tailed eagles that live on one of the nearby mountain peaks often visit us in the air. You can sit for hours out on the terrace and just enjoy nature and the weather.
But Lofoten has so much more to offer in terms of experiences. Just a 10-20 minute drive away, you can visit Unstad, a surfer's paradise. Just across the fjord from Borgvåg is beautiful Eggum. If you want to drive a little further, you can reach Haukland beach, which has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. From Haukeland beach you can take a nice hike up to Mannen. If you love to play golf, Lofoten also offers a fantastic golf course, Lofoten Links, which has been voted one of the absolute best courses in Europe several times and was recently included in the list of the world's 100 best courses.
All this and everything else Lofoten has to offer in terms of nature experiences, we want to share with friends and family and others who want to travel and experience Lofoten. Welcome to Lofoten!
