My name is Merete and I own this fantastic architect-designed cabin in Jæren. I grew up in the area and visiting the cabin brings back childhood associations and fond memories. When my family and I are at the cabin, we enjoy being close to both varied nature and bustling city life. At the cabin, we're close to the Jæren Sea, close to the heath, and close to both weather and wind.
It is possible to get on the train and go to Egersund in the south and Stavanger in the north, and the family's teenager really appreciates the shopping opportunities this provides. When we arrive at the cabin, we lower our shoulders and spend time cooking, walking, doing small projects and spending time with each other. One of the best things about cabin life is waking up first and sitting in peace and quiet as I watch the day brighten and the sun rise.
