My name is Merethe, and this fantastic cabin on Golsfjellet has become my sanctuary. This is where I like to go with my two adult children, to spend quality time with them. At the cabin, I really find peace by looking out at the mountains of Hemsedal and the peaks of Jotunheimen while firing up the fireplace. I can't wait for you to experience the same atmosphere.
I recommend that you take some fantastic trips on skis or on foot in the area. There are many mountain peaks to climb and hills to explore. Head to Gol town center if you want to experience something different, where you'll find both shopping centers and services.
For those who like to fish:
The cabin is located in the middle of an eldorado of small fishing lakes, rivers and medium-sized fjords. If you drive 45 minutes northwest, you'll be in Hemsedal and Hemsila, which is considered one of Norway's best trout rivers. If you drive 30 minutes east, you'll find Aurdalsfjorden, Dokkafjorden, Strandefjorden and Føyafjorden. Here you can fish for trout, perch and whitefish, and in the area where the mountain plateau is located you can fish in the river Tisleia, which flows east and down towards Aurdal. Storfjorden and Storevatn are also good fishing waters, and Nystølsfjellet is within walking distance of small lakes that are rich in fish.

The house is outstanding. In the truest sense of the word! The view is unique, embedded in the middle of nature. The furnishings are high quality, modern and loving. Merethe is a very great hostess and gave us a very nice and warm welcome. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The communication was uncomplicated and everything was ready for us. Wood, towels and a warm, cozy fireplace!
