In the Elbtalaue biosphere reserve and not far from the Elbe cycle path, you can experience pure tranquillity. The river landscape is home to wonderful places of power that exude a special energy at any time of year. In the midst of this unique nature lies the enchanting thatched house at the foot of a historic windmill.
Divided into two living areas, the half-timbered house between old trees welcomes you from the very first moment with its charming exterior and natural garden. The apartment with its own entrance offers plenty of privacy. Your own realm awaits you here on two floors with comfortable furnishings and a cozy ambience.
The bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen are located on the first floor. Regional and homemade chutneys, jams and fresh eggs are available for purchase here - you can also help yourself to the herbs in the garden at any time.
On the second floor, you will find a spacious living room with a seating area, dining table and two beds. The old green tiled stove provides cozy warmth. In the bedroom next door, the morning sun welcomes you under the traditional beams.
The lovingly designed garden has its own private area for you. From the slightly higher, secluded spot in the greenery, you can overlook the entire property - the perfect place to relax, far away from the hustle and bustle. The best way to explore the area is on one of the bikes provided: Along the famous Elbe cycle path, you can stop off at one of the picturesque beaches and put your feet in the sand. If you feel like a city trip, you can reach Hamburg and Lüneburg in less than an hour.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

The cozy seating area in the garden invites you to have breakfast in the sun
The living room under the beams of the thatched roof radiates a warm and cozy atmosphere with its green tiled stove
The location in the middle of the peaceful natural landscape of the Elbe Valley offers the ideal ambience for a relaxing stay
Built in the 19th century, the thatched cottage has been carefully restored and still bears witness to the tradition and connection to nature that characterized life here.
The cottage is quietly situated on the outskirts of the village behind the old windmill, surrounded by a 6000 square meter natural garden with old trees and idyllic places to linger.
Right behind the house you can walk in the fields and along the Bruchwetter, where nature and tranquillity surround you. The Elbe beaches are just a few minutes away by bike. The barn café in the village invites you to enjoy coffee and homemade cake at the weekend.
Breakfast can be ordered in advance.
It is important to me to offer my guests products that are regional and sustainable.
That's why I use healthy and nourishing food from the region and, depending on the season, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables from the garden. The granola and fruit spreads come from my own production, delicious honey from the immediate neighborhood, fresh country eggs from the neighbor's free-range chickens.

Super cozy, everything you need in the house itself. We were there without a car, so we had to bring everything to eat for the long weekend, as without a car you can only get to the nearest store by bus. Nearby Elbe invites for walks, otherwise you can just sit on the sofa and read.
