On the Schwansen peninsula, between the Baltic Sea and the Schlei, lies the vacation apartment in Nina and Kersten's thatched-roof house. After an extensive renovation in 2014, the building, which was built in 1730, was transformed into a vacation home with modern furnishings in country house style.
The apartment has an open-plan living area with wooden floorboards and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a 160 cm x 200 cm double bed and the other with a 140 cm x 200 cm mattress. A baby crib and an additional mattress for a child are available.
When the sun is shining, you can find a shady spot in the garden or on the large covered veranda, while your children can have fun on the trampoline. From the veranda you have direct access to the sauna, which will be completed in April 2023 and will provide you with additional peace and relaxation.
In winter, the sofa corner by the wood-burning stove invites you to spend cozy afternoons with tea and a book. The vacation apartment offers ideal conditions for countless leisure activities.
Go on bike tours on the well-developed cycle paths along the Schlei and stop off at the fruit farmer Stubbe in Lindaunis to enjoy a delicious piece of cake.
You can also easily reach Weidefelder Strand on the Baltic Sea by bike. If you set off in the morning before breakfast, the view of the sea is still all yours. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Danish island of Ærø while enjoying a morning picnic.

I am Nina and together with my husband Kersten I have transformed our thatched-roof house, built in 1730 on the Schwansen peninsula, into a feel-good place for our vacation guests. As an architect, I was able to design the house exactly the way we wanted it. We took care to preserve the old and combine it with the new. Here, between the Baltic Sea and the Schlei, not only we but also our guests find relaxation, family life and a happy vacation time.

The house offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We cooked a lot and lacked nothing in the kitchen equipment.
The sauna did us good in the evenings, as did the evenings in front of the fireplace.
