Close to the water in southern Lolland, this beautiful 150-year-old post office exudes nostalgia and soul with half-timbered buildings, mullioned windows and a beautiful thatched roof. Here, the family and their four-legged friends can find peace and quiet on the 3600 sqm large, secluded natural plot surrounded by vast fields and a rural idyll.
Inside, you can really feel the soul and history of the house. Here, the exposed beams in the ceiling add a rustic touch to the rooms, while remember to watch your head as you enter the kitchen through the barn door. Gather the extended family around the old oval table in the dining room and retire for the night in either the white, yellow or blue room with lovely green views of the garden through the barn window. The decor is personal with lively, bright colors and lots of vintage details.
The large natural plot is filled with flowers, fruit trees and many nooks and crannies for the little ones to play hide-and-seek. Enjoy your coffee under the parasol on the lovely stone terrace to the sound of birds chirping and pheasants clamoring, or relax in a beach chair in the sun on the grass. From the entrance and hallway of the house, you also have access to the cozy, enclosed courtyard. If you fancy a fresh morning dip, Stubberup Harbour is just down the road, where you can jump in the waves from the fine jetty.

We are Claus and Trine, and we are completely in love with our 150-year-old post office full of soul. Here, where we feel the wings of history, and where birds chirping and pheasants clamoring form the sound curtain, we enjoy being here often. We have carefully renovated the house with great respect for the old, fine details, so that the tranquillity and the pure Morten Korch idyll can form the framework for contemplation and relaxation. The 150-year-old lady loves to be filled with life, which is why we are happy to rent her out.
When we are here, we often stop by Nysted Harbor, visit Aalholm Castle or Fuglsang Art Museum. Stubberup Harbor at the end of the road is also cozy and a great place to swim from. Nysted Bakery is probably Lolland's best, while Restaurant Ö satisfies all our taste buds. Dodekalitten or a boat trip to Femø or Fejø is also always wonderful, while the seal safari from Nysted Harbour is a unique experience. There are so many wonderful sights here, you'll just have to hunt them down.
