Be enchanted by the atmosphere of the old country house in Nolde

In Nolde in Southern Jutland lies an enchanting old country house. Here you can stay one or maybe two families together and experience the very special atmosphere. It is the ideal place to settle down if you would like to feel the peace and privacy to the full, as the fields stretch far around the house. Here you can get away from everyday modern surroundings and feel the spirit of an old-fashioned, rustic interior.

As soon as you arrive, you will feel that the house has a lot of soul and hides many stories under its thatched roof. It's a great place to put your phones down and maybe even turn off some of the electric lights. Instead, turn on some candles and feel the historic and nostalgic atmosphere creeping up on you. You can sit in the candlelight with a classic in your hand and for a moment almost think you've left the 21st century. In the large kitchen there is space for you to cook together. When you sit in the dining room under the chandelier surrounded by patterned wallpaper, you can enjoy the evening light streaming in through the curtains. If you've brought friends, there's plenty of sleeping space for you all. You'll also notice many fine details in the rooms. Maybe the little ones can have a ride on the old rocking horse.

Outside, there's plenty of space and secret corners for the kids to play hide and seek. Run across the fields through the morning mist or take some lovely photos of the children and nature. You can also relax in the garden set in the courtyard among green plants and feel the cobblestones under your bare toes. In autumn, you can sit in silence under a blanket while the fire crackles and the trees change into their reddish-brown robes.

There are many opportunities for walking or cycling in the area. You can take a walk along the river or cycle to My Grocer in Bylderup-Bov to do some shopping. In Tønder you can experience a cosy town with beautiful old buildings. See, for example, Drøhse's house, which is located on the pedestrian street and tells a story of the Baroque. You can also take a walk past Schackenborg Castle and enjoy lunch in the café in the Herskabsstalden.
