In beautiful Øster Hurup is a lovely holiday home just 500 meters from the beach. It is decorated with personal finds from the family's travels abroad, and the main focus for the family has been to decorate for relaxation and presence.
The cottage is small enough to be close as a family, but at the same time there is room for six people to sleep in three bedrooms. We are Malene and Kim and together with our two teenage boys, Jens and Frede, we have a small base in Denmark. Our little house is our sanctuary when we visit Denmark from Colorado in the USA, which is our daily home. This is where we welcome guests, family and friends when we are here. Coziness and presence are paramount, but it's also very important for us to decorate the house to reflect our family's personal style. One of the biggest advantages of the house is that it's small enough to be close together, but big enough to have permanent beds for 6 people.
We love the beach, which is very close by. It's nice and shallow and feels almost private. We use it both summer and winter. Because it gives you energy regardless of the weather. In summer, Øster Hurup offers the most delicious ice cream cones at Vaffelhuset and tasty fish fillets or fish'n'chips at Fiskemanden on the harbor. You can also head to fantastic Aalborg, where you'll find all kinds of shopping and cultural experiences.
