Now I live in Lier near Oslo, but I'm lucky enough to have a fantastic cabin in my hometown.
The cabin is built by Eikås who are known for their high quality, with a modern, minimalist style and good floor plans.
I want to share the cabin so that more people can experience this scenic place that I'm proud to come from. Here you'll find great hiking opportunities, fantastic northern lights and a special tranquillity that you'll only find in Northern Norway. I can help you find a guide for hiking or Northern Lights safaris. I like to fish, and when I'm lucky I catch halibut on a rod. If desired, I can also recommend providers of fishing trips from a boat.
Kjerringøy trading post is a place with a historic atmosphere. During the summer months, you can take a guided tour here, otherwise the place is well worth a visit to stroll around the yard and look at the historic buildings here.
Nobel Prize winner Knut Hamsun lived here, and many of his books are inspired by Kjerringøy.
Several films have also been shot on Kjerringøy, including "The Telegraphist", "Pan", "Benoni & Rosa" and "I am Dina"
Kjerringøy has fantastic, clean beaches with chalk-white sand and azure blue sea.
