Charming half-timbered summer house with a beautiful garden

Near Juelsminde is an old half-timbered house from 1780. Here, nestled between the trees and surrounding cornfields, it looks inviting. It exudes romance and rural idyll as soon as you drive into the courtyard in front of the front door and see the house with its mullioned windows. Here you can spend a few days in tranquillity in the charming and stylish interior surrounded by a lush garden.

Once inside, you'll enjoy the bright kitchen-dining room. From here you can also look out and see the beautiful garden. You can eat dinner on the nice corner bench at the dining table and light up the wood-burning stove in the small cozy nook when evening comes. Here you can sit and feel the warmth in the rocking chair and just relax. You can also head up the stairs and look up to the large room on the first floor. Here you can bring your coffee and sit in the armchairs by the panoramic window and look out over the garden. You can also sit at the desk with your laptop and check your emails before you go to bed.

Outside, you'll also find several cozy nooks among the flowering shrubs where you can sit in a sunbeam or in the hanging chair under the trees. You can walk around and look around the garden and maybe pick some berries or find some fresh herbs in the kitchen garden to add to your salad. You can also sit in the orangery and enjoy dinner while you light a fire in the fire pit later in the evening. On a gray and rainy day, head into the conservatory or take a nap on the daybed.

Not far from the house you'll find Juelsminde Marina, where you can feel the peace and enjoy an ice cream at Havnens Café og Isbar. You can also go to Snaptun Harbor, from where you can sail to Hjarnø or Endelave. In Horsens, you can visit Fængslet, which today is an exciting prison museum, or you can take a trip to the theater. If you like mountain biking, you can find Denmark's three best mountain bike trails in Bjerre Skov. If you'd rather go for a walk, you can go to Borre Knob and take a three-kilometer walk. You can eat your lunch in the packed lunch house while watching the Hjarnø ferry sail by. Juelsminde Nature Playground is also a great option, where children of all ages can let loose on the large playground while adults enjoy a barbecue. If the weather permits, Kirkholm beach is only a 6-minute drive from the cottage, where you can enjoy the sun and take a dip.
