Located on the edge of a forest in the middle of a protected natural area, you can wake up to grazing wild horses and cattle in the farmyard, which live in the natural area all year round. From the house, you can explore the Langeland landscape and visit Naturdestination Skovsgaard, which is part of the Danish Nature Fund's nature areas. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a unique opportunity to become one with nature.
The house is characterized by red lattice windows and a front door. Inside, you are greeted by beautiful wooden floors and a cozy kitchen with a dining area where you can enjoy your meals with a view of nature. Light the wood-burning stove and settle down with a good book, or take it with you on a trip to the protected meadows.
The area around Skovsgaard offers 400 hectares of hiking trails in forests, meadows, and beaches. You are also close to Skovsgaard Naturdestination, which is worth exploring. All this makes your stay here an unforgettable experience.
It is very important that all pets are kept on a leash when in the wild grazing area. As Lundstedet is located within the wild grazing area, pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
Please note that it is your own responsibility to park at Lundstedet. Wild cattle may rub against cars due to itchy fur, which can cause damage. If you do not want to risk this, you are welcome to park on the beach outside the wild grazing area or at Skovsgaard's main car park, Kågårdsvej 12.

Skovsgaard Manor, also known as Naturdestination Skovsgaard, is located on the southern island of Langeland in scenic surroundings. Today, the estate is owned by the Danish Nature Fund, which was founded by the Danish Nature Conservation Association. For this, we owe a debt of gratitude to a very special woman.
Miss Ellen Fuglede was the last and only heir to Naturdestination Skovsgaard. As she had no heirs, it was very important to her that the place be preserved as a whole. She therefore bequeathed the estate and its 389 hectares to the Danish Nature Conservation Association, which was later taken over by the Danish Nature Fund. The legacy to the foundation is a gift, but also a responsibility. For the unmarried Miss Fuglede, the nature surrounding Naturdestination Skovsgaard was the most precious thing she owned, and it was therefore very important to her that the property remained in nature-conserving hands.
Today, you can visit Naturdestination Skovsgaard, which is full of exciting and wild nature experiences for families with children and nature enthusiasts. Here, you can also explore the estate's 400 hectares of land, 245 of which are designated as protected meadows and wild grazing land with cattle and wild horses.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Lundstedet, one of three charming farmhouses on the Skovsgaard estate, and have a unique experience surrounded by natural beauty.

What a beautiful place, it made me want to move to the countryside even more! The cows came and ate windfall apples in the garden in the morning!
