Hi. We are Peter and Julie. Our names are Peter and Julie and we have three children, Asger aged 12, Nora aged 11 and Magne aged 5. We are a family that is very close to Bornholm and come over here often as Julie grew up in Svaneke, and her whole family lives on the island. About 4 years ago we bought the summer house 'Dalen' and we have put a lot of time and love into the house. We simply love being here and spending time together as a family - preferably in the kitchen, where we bake cakes, paint on stones and make beads with the kids.
We have decorated our family summer house home with family heirlooms and collectibles from vacations and good times. We're particularly fond of the old Bornholm pottery in the kitchen, the big old chatol in the living room and the old yellow armchair in the bedroom, which originates from Bornholm's furniture factory, where Julie's grandfather, Leif, worked as a cabinetmaker.
When we're at the cottage, we take many lovely walks around the cottage, down the coastal path to Sandkås and on towards Tejn. Or the other way towards Allinge and Næs Strand. There are also good walks along the coast towards Sandvig and to Hammerhus and Hammerodde lighthouse. We sometimes visit Hammershus with the kids because they think it's fun to pretend we live in a castle. A trip to Slotslyngen, Blåskinsdalen or Vang Granitbrud is also great.
