This is our lovely holiday home, the "straw house" that we built ourselves.
It is an organic house, with clay-plastered straw walls that provide soft curves and a lovely indoor climate. There are large windows (recycled from an old Copenhagen property) and therefore bright, airy and high ceilings in our large kitchen-living room-dining room, and from all rooms a lovely view of the 10000 m2 natural plot.
We cozy up around the fireplace in the winter or relax on one of the sun terraces in the summer.
The kitchen is large, including a big American fridge with an ice cube maker for cool drinks, and there are plenty of board games for a rainy day.
There's plenty of space to spend time together - and sometimes a little alone.
The children also have a small playhouse they can enjoy themselves in when they're not swimming or playing. fishing for crabs at the harbor in Rørvig, while the adults enjoy a beer from the local brewery or one of the many other cultural and gourmet offerings in Odsherred.
The beach is only 250 m away, but other lovely wide sandy beaches and the cozy summer towns of Rørvig and Nykøbing can easily be explored by bike (if you've brought your own)
