The summer house "Halmhuset" is an organic house with clay-plastered straw walls that create soft curves and a pleasant indoor climate. There are large windows (recycled from an old Copenhagen property), making our large kitchen-living-dining room bright, airy, and high-ceilinged, and all rooms offer a lovely view of the 10,000 m² natural grounds.
There is room to gather around the fireplace in winter or relax on one of the sun terraces in summer.
The kitchen is large, including a large American refrigerator with an ice cube machine for cool drinks, and there are many board games for a rainy day.
There is room to be together - and occasionally be a little by yourself.
The children also have a small playhouse where they can enjoy themselves if they are not down swimming or, for example, fishing for crabs at the harbor in Rørvig, while the adults enjoy a beer from the local brewery or one of the many other cultural and gourmet offerings in Odsherred. You can also cycle the 6 km to Sommerland Sjælland or take the local train 2 km from the house for a fantastic day out with the children.
It is only 250 m to the beach, but other lovely wide sandy beaches (Skansehage or Telegrafvej) and the charming summer towns of Rørvig and Nykøbing can easily be explored by bike (if you have brought your own or rented one)

Really lovely cottage and location. Perfect for a vacation with both adults and children, as there is plenty of space both indoors and outdoors and everything you could possibly need. It is surrounded by nature and close to the beach, so even little legs can join in on the fun.
