Inside the cabin, the high ceilings in the living room and kitchen contrast with the cozy loft above the rest of the cabin. The furniture is designed together with the cabin, resulting in a very practical interior, even in small spaces.
Outside the cabin, a large veranda awaits, perfect for cozy evenings with a good glass of beer or wine. Here you can enjoy nature and fresh mountain air. In addition, there is a practical storage room and a separate sleeping cabin in the yard.
Geilo and the surrounding area offer a wealth of activities. In winter you can enjoy skiing - either downhill or cross-country - with 20 ski lifts and 46 ski slopes. Visit Vestlia Resort for a swim, a glass of wine or to admire the extensive art collection. In summer, there are plenty of activities for children. We recommend a trip to Prestholtseter, with rømmegrøt and real goat's cheese, or a hike up Hallingskarvet.

Our names are Ann-Beate and Knut, and we have a strong relationship with Geilo and our Ål cabin. We wanted a modern cabin that also preserved old Norwegian building traditions. The Ål cabin is award-winning for good architecture - modern - but based on old Norwegian building customs.
Geilo is also a fantastic place! Geilo was named Norway's best ski destination by the industry organization World Ski Awards in 2021. And even in summer, Geilo offers many exciting activities for adults and children.
Our cabin is called Rabbestein. It's 150 meters from Vestlia ski center, so we have "ski-in/ski out". The location is only approx. 2 km from the center of Geilo. Very practical!
The Ål cabin has many practical solutions. Our favorite place is the 'lagoon', a large square sofa with windows and views on three sides - ideal for children to play and for adults to relax and unwind. The cabin also has a loft, where the children have their own play area - as well as a place to sleep.
The cabin has a large veranda with a fire pit and gas barbecue - here you can enjoy lazy afternoons and evenings with something good in your glass.
