Historic reed roof house on the Baltic Sea peninsula of Angeln

On the Angeln peninsula, which lies close to the Flensburg Fjord, a seemingly untouched natural landscape with forests and gently rolling fields awaits you. Many parts of the thatched-roof cottage (as the old thatched-roof houses in Schleswig Holstein are called), which was built around 1850, have been preserved: The old ceiling beams, the lattice and dormer windows, as well as the color scheme.

During the renovation, great importance was attached to remaining true to the style of the house and not overloading the interior. The mixture of high-quality, custom-made wooden furniture and antique furnishings paired with the wooden floors creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

The heart of the house is the large living and dining area with open kitchen on the first floor. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a high-quality cooking experience. Here, many mullioned windows open up a wide view of the lovingly landscaped cottage garden.

On the upper floor, you can sleep comfortably directly under the pointed roof, where there is a bedroom with a large double bed and a room with two single beds. The stylish bathroom with underfloor heating and large walk-in shower provides a wellness feeling on vacation in the countryside.

The large garden offers plenty of places to relax, sunbathe and read. In summer, you can pick pears, apples and plums in the orchard and catch the first rays of sunshine on the terrace. There is also a fireplace in the garden, which is ideal for long evenings around the campfire.
