Our names are Ruth Anne and Kjell Ove, and we welcome you to our cabin at Skåltofta. The cabin is a place where we can really relax and enjoy the peace, quiet and each other's company. When we go to the cabin, proximity to nature is important to us. That's why we've put a lot of time and thought into the renovation of the cabin - where we wanted the fabulous location and views to come into their own.
It feels like nature is part of the interior, and we're incredibly proud of how the result turned out. The view is a key element in all the rooms, and the large panoramic windows mean that we can enjoy nature in all weathers. When we're at the cabin, we like to be out in the wild and beautiful landscape, with great mountain hikes - where Dronningruta is probably the most famous. There are lots of great hikes in the area for both young and old. Sitting for hours watching the sea breaking, going out on a rib or fishing boat is also an unforgettable experience that offers a bustling life with puffins, eagles, seals and whales.
We hope that those of you who visit the cabin will find it a great place to stay. And feel free to come back several times - Nyksund must be experienced in spring, summer, fall and winter. The old fishing village has a special history that contributes to the atmosphere you will experience here.
