Golden light in original 70’s summer house on the West Coast

Live life slowly in this original and traditional cottage from the 1970s, located in the middle of a protected nature area by the roaring North Sea. With its changing sedum roof and nut brown wood cladding, the cottage is in sublime harmony with the hilly, golden dune landscape at Kettrup Bjerge between Blokhus and Løkken.

The large, open living room in the middle of the cottage has a view and high ceilings. Here, you can enjoy chores around the wall-mounted wood-burning stove and enjoy the play of light colors in the original raw bricks and the warm glow of the wood that covers the walls and ceiling. The painted door frames and beams contrast beautifully with the golden-red wood, framing the house and the view in the most beautiful way. The black color is repeated in lamps and interiors, where it is joined by subdued shades and well-chosen, bright pops of color.

At the back of the house, you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the sun rise over the protected nature area and the grassy summer house roofs, perhaps even in the company of deer and pheasants. Take a deep breath, smell the salt, spruce and heather in your nose and take a slow walk through the hills and dunes to the wide, flat beach facing Jammerbugten Bay. Looking out over the foam peaks here makes you feel like you're at the end of the world.
