Our cabin is a typical family cabin in a pleasant family destination. The cabin is located right in the heart of Skeikampen Skiresort. You put your skis on outside the door whether you want to go cross-country skiing or downhill skiing. You can park your car for your entire stay - the grocery store is within walking distance, as is the ski center and ski rental.
Sitting in front of the old fireplace literally "makes your shoulders drop". The floors are uneven and crooked as they have been for more than 100 years - but the shower/bath and toilet have been renovated with underfloor heating. The kitchen has been modernized and contains most of the kitchen equipment for those who love to cook.
"We spend a lot of time here, both in winter, spring and fall, and a little in the summer. We love walking in the mountains, the beautiful nature and the fact that Skei is a place that still has an active pastoral life, which means that the farmers send the animals to the mountains to graze in the summer. That's how we meet sheep, goats and cows. In winter, there are many great ski trails, and you can look towards both Jotunheimen and Rondane.
