We love our little cottage in the forest. There are birds in the garden, beautiful nature and good walking routes so we can get grounded away from the city. We love sitting by the wood-burning stove with a view of the tall pine trees or with a cup of tea and a crossword puzzle - but we also make great use of the surroundings just around the corner.
Mols Bjerge is not far from the cottage when we want nature experiences, but a good walk to Kalø Castle ruins is also great. Djursland is full of experiences! In the summer, Følle Strand is a nice beach for both young and old. We also recommend having a good lunch in Ebeltoft, and on the way back to the cottage we stop at the coffee roastery in Femmøller.
There are plenty of small flea markets in the area, and in Knebel you can buy fresh fish to take home.
Djurs Sommerland, Scandinavian Wildlife Park, etc. are also just a few minutes' drive from the cottage.
