Step out in the woods and enjoy the tranquility of a peaceful 70s cottage

On a large wooded plot at the end of the gravel road is a cozy and charming tree house surrounded by tall, beautiful trees. Here your family can meet in nature, slow down and let the peace and quiet sink in.
In the house on Åkandestien you can enjoy the simple life, fresh air, the scent of nature and lunch on the terrace to the sound of birdsong. The 2800 m2 of natural grounds offer many different opportunities for outdoor activities; you can build caves, find sno bread sticks, raspberries and go bug hunting in the small wild forest that surrounds the house. Among the trees and bushes, there's a hammock, fire pit, swing set, trampoline and soccer goal. The outdoor areas provide the setting for a simple and relaxing life with walking and cycling distance to Arresø, Stængehus beach, Asserbo Plantation and Tisvilde Hegn.
The cottage is a classic Myresjø house, well maintained in the original 70s style. The family uses the house both summer and winter for socializing, peace and quiet and to enjoy the simple life without disturbing technology. In the winter months, the wood-burning stove in the living room is lit, board games are played and books are read. The large windows let the light and nature into the house - and from here you can follow the two squirrels that live in the garden, see deer and the occasional eager woodpecker. When the weather in the summer months is mild, the door can be opened all the way up to the large terrace, where you'll find a gas barbecue. There are two nice bedrooms with a double bed in one and a bunk bed in the other, and there are also two beds in the living room.

We live in an apartment in Nørrebro and love the combination of city life and nature. It's just so nice to get out of the city with the kids on the weekends, so they can play in the forest, swing, build caves and find animals while we sit on the terrace or lie in the hammock, enjoy the sun, read the newspaper and drink coffee. We've had our lovely cottage for seven years and from the beginning we wanted to preserve the original 70s style. Therefore, we have done little more than decorate the place to suit our needs and the original architecture.
The natural grounds are just as they should be with the tall grass and we are often visited by deer, squirrels and the occasional fox. We enjoy a trip to both the forest and the beach within cycling distance, we play cards and board games, read books and light up the wood-burning stove. We also use both the kitchen and the gas grill, cooking good food that we can all gather around.
Close to the house you will find both a grocery store and one of the country's best restaurants, Tinggaarden, which also has a farm shop with fresh croissants and cinnamon rolls. There are many pleasant paths around the holiday home area, which among other things lead down to Arresø.
