We are a family of five, consisting of Natasja, Daniel, our daughters Liva and Ida and our cotton dog Wilma. We bought our lovely holiday home a bit impulsively in the spring of 2021. Kastaniehytten, as we have christened the cottage, was the only cottage we were shown and it was love at first sight.
The Chestnut Cottage is our sanctuary. Silence, idyll and birdsong on a large green 1200 square meter secluded plot. Here we can be completely ourselves. We love being just us as much as we love having many guests in the summer. The cottage invites you to cozy up on our lovely wooden terrace, around the fire pit, in the sauna or in front of the wood-burning stove.
There's plenty to do in the cottage, but we also love to visit Oremandsgaard Estate, where on the 1st of every month they hold a farmers' market with local produce. Here you'll also find Radius Distillery, which sells unique spirits.
It's also worth a visit to Muldiverset, which sells and serves biodynamic and organic produce. And of course, Præstø By is also a must-see place as it's just so cozy.
