Close to the huge Wadden Sea, a lovely thatched cottage is located in the middle of a fantastic natural plot with lots of birds, deer passing by and the occasional pheasant calling.
The cottage is lovely at all times of the year. In summer, the large enclosed terrace can be enjoyed for breakfast, lounging in a sun lounger, playing in the sandpit and firing up the barbecue in the evening. When fall starts to creep in, the large common room with wood-burning stove, living room and kitchen is a great gathering place for games, movies and books.
The cottage has been lovingly and sustainably renovated and is now personally decorated in a light Nordic, cozy style. There are three bedrooms and plenty of space with high ceilings in the large common room. The rooms can accommodate up to five overnight guests - or six people if you want to snuggle up in the narrowest of the beds. The large windows facing the terrace let in plenty of light and nature.

We are two generations, living in Sønderborg and Copenhagen respectively, who bought the summer house together to create a gathering place for our family. We love nature, cooking, reading, knitting and exploring Fanø. We fell in love with the cottage the first time we saw it, and before that we had been coming to Fanø for many years for knitting festivals.
Regardless of the weather, we always take a long walk on the beach, go on trips to one of the many plantations and visit Sønderho and Nordby. We love to shop for groceries at the small local shops or eat at one of the good restaurants. The cottage is a 10-minute walk from Sønderho, which is one of Fano Island's most charming places, with a small art museum, several good restaurants and a small local grocery store.
