Historic farm with room for the extended family

Gøttrupgaard is an old family farm, and here the beautiful farmhouse has been decorated so that you can have a relaxing holiday with the beautiful nature outside the door. There are no animals on the farm anymore, but if you still want to see where the organic grass-fed milk from Thise comes from, you can take the walk to the neighbouring farm, Hvanstrup, and watch the cows being milked.

Here you can clearly feel the wings of time in the beautiful buildings. The whole place is characterised by enormous space - there is room for play and big arm movements, and there is room for the really big family gathering with no less than 13 beds. The beds are distributed both on the ground floor and in the basement.

On the ground floor there are three bedrooms, each sleeping two.

The basement is bright and has access to the garden. There are two rooms, one with a double bed and one with three single beds, two of which can be converted into double beds. There is an opening between the two rooms with a wooden sliding door, but they both have a door from the hallway too. There is also a toilet and shower on the basement level.

There are duvets and pillows for all sleeping places in the house.

The living room is furnished with secondhand items, which play well with the history of the house. Most decades of the last century are represented all around in the furnishings, the choice of materials and the selected interiors - the common factor is that everything has been chosen with care.

In one of the living rooms you can lounge in front of the TV and enjoy a movie without disturbing the rest of the family. There is enough space for everyone to find peace and quiet to read books, knit or play games. On the ground floor, there are several living rooms and there is also plenty of space in the lovely kitchen - both for those who cook and for those who keep company. Here you can enjoy the view from the window while doing the washing up. The kitchen oozes atmosphere with its fine pantry, large built-in display cabinet and kitchen dining area with seating for six. If you're travelling with the extended family or have several families, the large dining room invites you to larger dinners overlooking the garden. Light streams in through the windows and bathes the room in sunshine.

The garden is filled with tall old trees and there is plenty of space for games and play. If you like toasted marshmallows, you can light up the fire pit and create a cosy moment around the fire. The outdoor dining areas are located in the garden or on terraces, so there's always a chance to find either a patch of sun or a nook of shade when the kids are playing hide and seek in the large garden.

When you are in the house, you feel thrown back in time and you sense the atmosphere of the life that such a farm offered in everyday life.
