The cottage was built in 1986 and is beautifully situated in the natural mare straw landscape and nestles in the slightly hilly terrain. Surrounding the house are three good terraces that face different corners of the world so that you can find both sun, shade and shelter.
The house is only 150 meters from the sea, so you can hear the sound of the waves and feel the fresh sea air right outside. Inside, there is a lovely wood-burning stove that can add warmth and coziness on cold days.
The cottage also has many fine details built by the owners Kaj and Tove - including driftwood found on the beach as a common material choice, which creates a unique and warm atmosphere.
Upon arrival, you'll find a large common room where you can take off your sandy shoes or wet rainwear, as well as a large communal dining table where there's room for large meals and good conversations on the old church bench. From here, you can let nature in from both the east and west sides. You can continue into the main house or into the annex building, which is an old garage that has been transformed into a master bedroom with an attached bathroom, hot tub and sauna.
The main house has two good bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen and living room/family room flow together in an open and inviting space, perfect for family fun in front of the fireplace and with views straight towards the North Sea.
It's a peaceful place to relax, read a good book in one of the hammocks or just enjoy the sunset or the clear starry sky that can be experienced in these parts.
The area around the house is filled with natural beauty and activities. You can take a walk along Ferring Lake, cycle to Bovbjerg Lighthouse or follow the path north to the Venice of the North Sea in Thyborøn. A 5-minute walk from the cottage is Victoria Street Station, where you can take the local train VLTJ and experience the landscape gliding by outside the windows. A trip that is fun for both children and adults.
