In beautiful North Jutland on an open plot with stunning views of the sea, you'll find this lovely little cottage in the middle of the wild, raw dune landscape. The house is full of soul and originally served as a shelter for the shepherds from the Asdal manor in the south. Here, the couple or small family can feel the atmosphere of something genuine and original in the windswept surroundings.
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the beautiful view of the open sea, which gives a sense of space and infinity even though the house is small. Prepare a light meal in the simple, practical kitchen, enjoy your food close to the window and the view, or take out your binoculars and gaze out to the horizon. To get to the bathroom, step outside and admire the incredible starry sky or listen to the sound of the ocean on the way.
On the terrace, you can really get in touch with nature as the long grass creeps close to the house. Sit down with a cup of coffee on the garden bench and listen to the song of the sea, or let the sun warm you in the sun loungers. If you're curious about the history of the house, you can visit the manor house Asdal Hovedgård, which is about 3 km away. Here you can see the interesting ramparts where the former main building was located.

Cultivate intimacy and simple living in a small cottage with lots of personality
Be mesmerized by the stunning views of the ever-changing sea
Find a special calm on the open ground between the dunes in the first row to the water
My name is Janne and together with my husband I own this holiday home, which we bought in 2010. We are retired and live in Copenhagen, but we love coming to our cottage in the summer. We swim in the sea every morning and eat outdoors as often as possible. The first thing we do when we arrive is always wash the big window so we can really see and feel the sea.
When we are here, we often go for walks by the water. If you walk 3-4 km to the east, you'll find a nice path from the beach that continues into the plantation. From here we can walk in the forest most of the way back to the house. Sometimes we drive to Isager and the old school in Tversted, where there are various activities. We also like to visit Skagen and Hjørring to eat or visit museums.
It's worth noting that we have a dog, which may be important for guests who may have allergies. As we do not allow guests to bring their own dogs, we want to make sure there are no misunderstandings about this when you book our holiday home.
