The unspoiled nature of the Elbe dike near Wittenberge enchants year-round with a uniquely beautiful landscape. Between happy cows, breeding storks and all sorts of rare bird species lies in a picturesque quiet location the large vacation home of Petra and Simon.
On the first floor you are welcomed by an open living concept with a warm homeliness. Surrounded by views of the greenery, you can make yourself comfortable on the sofa and light the fireplace in the corner of the living area. The kitchen and the dining table next door invite you to social cooking evenings with the whole travel group.
The interior of the house is a mixture of modern minimalism and typical rural charm. The bedroom on the first floor, for example, is adorned with an antique sewing machine from the old days. Three more sleeping accommodations are located upstairs: in addition to two bedrooms with double beds, the study accommodates a single bed - making the vacation home perfect for up to 7 people.
From the terrace your view opens onto the garden - a true adventure paradise for children, who can jump on the trampoline, swing or collect plums and walnuts among the fruit trees. Since the property is fenced, parents do not have to worry - this is also convenient when the family dog comes along on vacation.
And there's plenty to explore in the area, too. For this, it's best to grab the house's bicycles and enjoy the picturesque landscape of the nature reserve on the way. After only a 10-minute ride you will reach a wonderful natural beach on the Elbe and some beautiful quarry ponds.
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you’re bringing your dog. The fee varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night and should be settled with the host upon arrival.

We, Anna and Simon, looking for a retreat for our large family, bought our house in a beautiful location between Berlin and Hamburg in 2015. We did most of the renovation work ourselves; the first thing we did was tear out the walls on the first floor and create a spacious, open kitchen and living area. This has created a cozy vacation spot where we also enjoy spending time ourselves with family, friends and our dogs. Here we enjoy the proximity to the Elbe beach and the warmth of country life. Our tip: Nanny's farm three houses away has the best eggs you've ever tasted.
