We, Anna and Simon, looking for a retreat for our large family, bought our house in a beautiful location between Berlin and Hamburg in 2015. We did most of the renovation work ourselves; the first thing we did was tear out the walls on the first floor and create a spacious, open kitchen and living area. This has created a cozy vacation spot where we also enjoy spending time ourselves with family, friends and our dogs. Here we enjoy the proximity to the Elbe beach and the warmth of country life.
