The architect-designed cottage with a stone herb roof blends naturally into the surrounding landscape and is an atmospheric and tranquil oasis close to the roaring North Sea. Inspiration for the design of the house comes from Chinese hutongs (courtyard houses) and Frank Lloyd Wright's organic American architecture.

The house has three good-sized bedrooms with a total of eight beds. There are two bathrooms and both indoor and outdoor showers. The large kitchen and living room are the heart of the house and where you connect all day long. Here you can relax in front of the gas fireplace (no hassle with lighting and smoke), cook great food in the kitchen and just be with each other. The window niche is the perfect place to sit and watch the wildlife and feel your shoulders slump.

Everywhere you look, you can feel the love of nature in the choice of materials. The courtyard environment, which has direct access from the kitchen-dining room, becomes an extra living space for the whole family. It's sheltered from the wind and weather, and if it starts to rain, you can simply move under the canopy.

The magnificent dune landscape embraces the house and becomes an integral part of living in the house, which with its floor-to-ceiling windows invites nature inside. This makes it an obvious holiday home worth visiting for nature lovers. In the protected nature area north of the cottage, you can see rare birds and wildlife, and there are some fantastic hiking trails.

Nørlev Strand, just an eight-minute walk from the house, is a beautiful west coast beach ideal for good walks, a swim in the summer and admiring the majestic waves and storms in the fall.

In the Nørlev area there are great opportunities for hiking, running, cycling and horseback riding. It's also just a short drive to Lønstrup, which offers café life, art galleries, glassblowing and ceramics workshops.
