My name is Lene, and together with my husband Ole-Kristian, we have created our paradise, our cabin. It has been in the family since 2001. My husband is a craftsman, and together we have designed the cabin so that we get the most out of both indoor and outdoor life here.
In winter, you can go skiing on the fantastic cross-country trails or, if you're more into speed, take a trip to the alpine slopes. Cocoa in the warming room is a winner!
What we appreciate most is the tranquillity. We can sit on the private jetty and listen to the birds chirping and a good glass of wine, or enjoy a swim in the calm waters.
There are also plenty of opportunities to kayak (in season) or take a long, lovely swim.
We have a 13-foot boat with a motor that you can rent in season. There are great fishing opportunities there, lots of trout.
We also use the local golf course at Næs Jernverk, where my husband plays golf, while I enjoy the beautiful scenery or pick blueberries, raspberries or cranberries.
In Vegårshei, there are many great hiking opportunities on the trails that run along the water and into the forests. It's also a popular place for cyclists.
